American bourbon is distilled once, then aged in fresh charred oak barrels. Compared to scotch and Irish whiskeys, bourbons impart a raw, sweet corn flavour (due to the fact that bourbon in made with at least 50% corn). Small batch bourbons are made in limited quantities, aged six to nine years and are characteristics or pre-prohibition whiskey, with strong, rich flavours, heat and aromas.
Named after baker beam, grand of legendary Jim beam, bakers bourbon has hints of toasted nut, fruit and vanilla flavour from the barrel wood.

Single Malt Whiskeys
Die-hard whiskey connoisseurs swear that nothing is finer than a single malt (one grain used in the whiskey, no blending from batch to batch) with its characteristic regional flavours. For others a silky smooth well balanced blended whiskey hits the spot. That's why whiskey makers have to adhere to strict guidelines for there product to be classed as scotch. It has to be entirely produced in Scotland, contains no added substances (except water and caramel), be aged for at least three years and bottled with an ABV of at least 40%

Irish Whiskey is innately aged in used okay bourbon casks for at least three years. What sets Irish whiskey apart is the fact that the malt grains are dried in ovens rather than over peat fires and is distilled three times, unlike any other whiskey.
